founder, Georges Maubert, wanted to create a fragrance entirely dedicated to the Iris Pallida, a natural material, iconic of Grasse perfumery
it took a year + a half, + 160 trials to create a direct + readable fragrance, that wasn't simplistic, honouring the richness of the iris
using a blend of sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver with the muskiness of ambroxan + cashmeran, to bring out the intimate + sensual iris but with a contemporary edge
top notes - iris absolute, hazelnut accord, cashmeran
mid notes - iris pallida butter (Turkey + Italy) rose (Turkey)
base notes - sandalwood (New Caledonia) labdanum (Spain) patchouli, ambroxam
